Maroz Store — An online shop for frozen-storage | marozstore.com
Household chest freezers run from about 50 to 300 litres, and the working rule is 45-60 litres per person.
Household chest freezers run from about 50 litres at the compact end to about 300 litres for bulk storage. Between those extremes the sizing question has a short formula: 45-60 litres of freezer space per person in the household.
Applied upward: one person needs 45-60 litres, a couple 90-120, three people 135-180, and a family of four 180-250 litres. Five people points to 225-300 litres, the top of the standard range.

Where a household lands inside its range depends on what the freezer is for. Storing shop-bought frozen food needs the bottom of the range; freezing fresh produce, batch cooking or bulk meat buying needs the top.
Existing refrigeration counts toward the total, but only the freezer part of it. A typical 250-litre fridge-freezer splits into 150-170 litres of fridge and 80-100 litres of freezer, so a combi alone rarely covers a family of four that freezes seriously.
Size is only the first filter. The star rating decides whether the unit can freeze fresh food or only store it — covered in the star-rating guide — and the energy label sets what those litres cost to run, covered in the energy and installation guide.
